Equipment and Tips !

Get ready to Walk About Love (: Israel Journey :)

Weight Limit On the Journey Trailer! - 10 KG Total!
(not including musical instruments :)

LIST:

Most important!
- big backpack/suitcase for all personal equipment (transported on the journey trailer)
- Comfortable small-medium backpack for the walking
- A good warm sleeping bag
- Personal toiletries/medicine (Please don't use soap/shampoo in natural running water source)
- 2 – 3 refillable big water bottles 
- a Hat
- Sunscreen lotion/sunglasses (especially If you're sensitive to lots of sunlight)
- Personal, re-usable lunch box for food to take with us.
- Re-usable plastic bag to keep dry warm clothes for changing

Clothing:
- Strong, solid hiking shoes (or good sandals) (recommended to bring both!)
- Worm clothing! (Best is "onion" method – layers of worm shirts/worm underpants)
- Good wind/water resistant Coat
- Light and comfortable clothing for walking in warm days
- Bathing cloth – for all the seas, lakes, rivers and springs we visit !

Optional but recommended:
- Musical Instruments, games/juggling equipment or anything else that you would like to add to the journey!
- A "modest" change of clothing for meeting with respected representatives of a variety of communities and for holiday celebration
   (i.e. Clothes that are not transparent and that cover your chest, stomach, shoulders down to the elbows and your knees)
- First Aid kit (If necessary - personal medicines)
- A camera
- Pen and a notebook
-Nature book / guiding material
-small Musical instrument/games/book
-Hammock
-A Tent - it's better not to bring a tent and sleep with everyone on the carpets around the big main fire, Under the sky full of Stars  :)
-laundry powder for hand washing, laundry rope
- Sandals/flippy-floppys
-Flashlight
-Lighter, matches
-Swiss knife
-binoculars
-moisture lipstick (helpful in the desert!)
- Mosquito repellant

-Aloe Vera
-portable music player
-book
-First aid kit

-Don't forget to bring your towel!

Tips!

·        Reuse plastic bags and don't bring to much to avoid generating trash

·        Bring a soap shampoo that is bio degradable.

·        Bring a tooth paste that is environmentally friendly or use baking soda.

·        Don't bring any disposable cutlery (plastic cups, knifes, forks etc...)

·        If using batteries - bring rechargeable batteries.

·        Travel Light: 
After collecting all of the stuff you want to bring you can divide them to three groups:    the things I really need ,  stuff I don't really need but it will be
nice to have, stuff I just want to bring. and then :  try to take less from the stuff in the first group, try not taking things that the chances you will use
them is low, try not to take big bottles of soap/shampoo and take only one book for sharing books within the group!

 Remember - Weight Limit total is 10 Kilograms
Try not to bring more, you can bring more but you'll have to take care of it and carry it :)
We are not able to take extra load on the trailer

·        How's the weather?
On March (the first month of the journey) we'll be in the desert. Rain is very rare but possible, it gets windy sometimes
The days will usually be worm and sunny (light but long clothes and a hat).  The nights will be cool (long pants and a sweater or light jacket).
Temperatures are around 16 to 24 Degrees centigrade which are 61 to 75 Degrees Fahrenheit.
You can sleep in a light sleeping bag with or without a tent – according to what you're used to.
In the following months it will get warmer and there will likely be almost no rain.
