Ten things to know about the trail

Planning a trip on the Israel Trail? Just before you go out, we have prepared 10 things you should know so that you can better prepare for the journey. We invite you to join our journey that includes tourists from Israel and the world.

1. A thousand kilometers – the length of the trail is almost 1000 kilometers. It begins in Kibbutz Dan and ends in Eilat.

2. Colors – The trail is marked in blue-orange-white. Sometimes the vegetation hides the marks so you should look for the mark well before splitting.

3. Birthday – 20 – 2015 – This will be the 20th birthday of the Israel Trail.

4. Variety of landscape types – The trail passes between all types of landscape in the country and this was one of the main goals for its construction.

5. Angels of the Israel Trail in the South – Due to difficult access to water in the south, water burial can be coordinated with volunteers. The volunteers are called angels and they also give accommodation options.

7. When should you go on a journey? Spring is the best time to start a journey because it is neither too cold nor too hot. It is advisable to leave the south and end the journey in the north.
