Trips in Israel

Holidays like Shavuot and Pesach make people go out looking for a holiday route in the spring weather. You can always find a route on the Israel Trail, or any other route for a trip of a few hours or a whole day. Walk About Love has been organizing trips on the trail for over 6 years. You are welcome to check our schedule and join us for holidays such as Passover in the desert, which has long been a permanent tradition with us. Every trip is joined by people from abroad who came as part of the Masa project, volunteering at the kibbutz or for any other reason. Here are some recommendations:

A night trip in Jerusalem and a route around Jerusalem

If you like nature trips – we recommend a trip around Jerusalem. It can also be reached as part of the trip on the Israel Trail map will help you understand how to do it in the best way. We also recommend a night tour of Old Jerusalem. It is best to do this on Hanukkah. A menorah tour of Jerusalem accompanied by a guide is an experience worth doing at least once in a lifetime.

Parks and nature reserves

The Israel Trail in the north, as well as in the south, passes through several key points such as parks and reserves. For example, the Nahal Poleg Reserve and Canada Park. Short holidays can be made on these trails. Notice the signs and splits. The trip in Nahal Poleg is recommended from the southern to the northern part because it ends at the beach of Netanya where you can have a picnic to close the day.

Travel tips

· The most comfortable weather for hiking is as mentioned spring, but even on such days the weather can be warmer than usual. It is recommended to check the expected temperature the day before and accordingly decide whether to hike with the Israel Trail or not. A map will help you understand if the route is difficult or simple and this too has an impact on the decision.

· Adapting the route to the weather – if you still go out in hot weather. We recommend focusing on trails in the north or trails that pass through streams, lakes and waterfalls.
