Mitzpe Shalom is a route in the Golan for families that will not take you more than an hour to do. It is also possible to do sections on the Israel Trail if you are in the Sea of Galilee area, but this time we will talk about one of the easiest, simplest and most beautiful routes in the area.

Start with a spectacular view

The route is named after his observation post: Mitzpe Hashalom. It is about a half hour drive from Tiberias. From here you can see the entire Sea of ​​Galilee from coast to coast, the city of Tiberias, Mount Tabor and on a day when there is good visibility even Mount Carmel. This is one of the most beautiful and spectacular vantage points in Israel and therefore, if you are in the area, it is really not recommended to miss it. Just type in Waze for Peace. Note that the reference to the observatory is in a slightly inconspicuous place and can be easily missed. But it is possible to make a U-turn at the entrance to Kibbutz Haruv, which is located nearby. Also in Mitzpe you will find a souvenir shop as well as a restaurant and free parking. Admission to the track is also free, but the opening hours must be determined according to the season.

A route in the Golan for families like Mitzpe Shalom is easy and quick to do it is the ultimate pastime for a spring day. The route passes over the mountainside.
