Israel Trail route

The transition seasons are the best times to hike the Israel Trail. In the spring many backpackers start from the south and finish in the north. In the fall they start from the south and end in the north. We at Walk About Love invite you to join us on a journey with tourists from all over the world. We will take care of everything that is needed for you logistically. You will come for a walk and enjoy and we will take care of the food, transfer your equipment between the various night camps for drinks and even Hawaii and entertainment.

Why does the trail attract tourists from all over the world?

Like the Appalachian Trail in the United States, the Israel Trail in the south, in the north or in its entirety, attracts mainly domestic tourists but also occasionally tourists from various places from abroad. In contrast to the Appalachian Trail, for example, the Israeli trail makes it possible to cross an entire country? Not many people can say they crossed an entire country on foot. True, this is a very small country and the length of the journey is about 1000 km compared to 3500 of the US trail, but it is definitely enough.

Israel Trail in the south

This is the part that attracts tourism from countries that do not have a desert landscape. The section starts from the Jerusalem terminal and reaches Eilat. This is the most difficult and challenging part because it does not have access to food and water. so what are we doing? Nothing if you go on a journey with us – we will take care of everything for you. If you are going out alone, you will have to take care of the issue of burying water for Israel. That is, to reach certain points in order to plant canned food and six-packs of water in it. This is no small headache as it is necessary to calculate quite a few things so that you do not run out of food or water in the middle of the walk.

Travel tips

Just before you go hiking on the Israel Trail, you should practice a little bad endurance and fitness. That way your muscles will not get caught. There are parts where walking is very strenuous so be prepared for that as soon as possible. Although the trail is mostly conspicuously marked, the vegetation covers some parts of the markings from time to time so it is easy to get lost. Be sure to walk around with a map when you are on the trail so as not to find out at the end that you are not in the right direction at all.
